Taryn Serwatowski is a graduate student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln working toward her M.S. in Meteorology. Taryn is a McNair Scholar and graduated with a B.S in Geology at Central Michigan University in 2009. Her Masters project will involve monitoring groundwater recharge due to precipitation events and develop a hydrological model that can be used to help predict an aquifers response to extreme weather.

Taryn is a big Buddy Holly fan and enjoys music from the early rock era. Other interests include Earth Science, severe weather, hiking, running, writing poetry, and reading.
